The site of Lucy a radio UK is to Promote and raise awareness the rich Ethiopian history, culture, tradition and religion among our people at home and the Ethiopian diaspora

Lucy or Dinknesh, meaning, you are beautiful is the common name of the nearly complete Skeleton of an Australopithecus afarensis specimen discovered in 1974 at Hadar in the Awash vally of Ethiopia Afar depression. Lucy is estimated to have lived 3.2 million years ago. Though in 2009 it was announced that a new huminid Ardi was found (19 94), pushing back the earliest known huminid date to 4.4 million years ago

Our radio program is very proud to use the name Lucy dinknesh where the history of Ethiopia and mankind begins.

This radio programme is non political and non religious, however we are devoted to broadcast: various religious celebrations which take place abroad and back at home. the fact that the Ethiopian religious are deeply rooted in the Ethiopian history makes them a central theme of interest
